Happy Diwali to our friends and followers!

As tomorrow we are celebrating Diwali, we would like to wish very happy Diwali to our followers in India and abroad.

And for those who don't know this festival, Diwali is perhaps the most well known Indian festival, celebrated throughout India, as well as in Indian communities abroad. It is colloquially known as the "festival of lights". It is celebrated on a new moon night sometime in the months of October and November. The exact day of the festival is decided according to the Hindu calendar. This year celebrations fall on 11th November. The celebration of the festival is invariably accompanied by the exchange of sweets and the explosion of fireworks. For the common practice is to light small oil lamps (called diyas) and place them around the home, in courtyards, and gardens. The day is primarily celebrated to commemorate the return of Lord Rama from his 14 years of exile. However, there are various other stories associated with the festival.....
